Mindful Knitting Essentials Course

This three part program will be offered in January and in February – to help you fulfill those New Year’s resolutions for a more grounded and creative you. These 3 two and a half hour sessions will address three essential aspects of Mindfulness:

Course 1:

January 23rd – Enhancing Your Awareness   10 am – 12:30 pm
February 13th – Dealing with Difficult Emotions 10 am – 12:30 pm
February 27th – Self – Compassion 10 am – 12:30 pm

Course 2:

February 20th – Enhancing Your Awareness   10 am – 12:30 pm
March 5th – Dealing with Difficult Emotions 10 am – 12:30 pm
Maexh 19th – Self – Compassion 10 am – 12:30 pm

 

20150630_112202With the rhythmical movements of knitting to soothe you as a backdrop, I will introduce some essential aspects of mindful meditation to you during each 2.5 hour session. Blending knitting and mindfulness together enhances the the healing qualities of each.

These skills can help you center yourself, bringing a sense of peace to your daily life.

My name is Francine - I live in the Ottawa area and I am passionately interested in encouraging individuals to improve their well-being. I teach mindfulness, offer on-going meditation practice at the Farm and in other locations. At present, I offer Meditation practice at the Hyer Destination Yoga Studio in Embrun. I have established the first Therapeutic Knitting Group in Canada, based upon the research going on in the UK. I have lived on Twin Willows Farm for the last 17 years and I have enjoyed the constant presence and companionship of horses. They helped me to adapt to country life and slow down my tempo, so that I can savour the great things that are happening now in my life.
