Lecture and community discussion group hosted by permaculture teacher and designer Graeme O’Farrell. Graeme O’Farrell is a poet and second-generation permaculture designer and teacher who studied with Jesse Lemieux, director of the Permaculture Research Institute (PRI) of Canada. Permaculture is, in a nutshell, a design system for creating sustainable human habitat and permanent culture. It can also be described as the science of thriving on Earth. This discussion will introduce participants to the basics of permaculture and explain how its design ethics and principles can save the human species from self-destruction.
